Proudly owned and operated by locals! We opened our first store in Glendale in 2011, and have since grown to

six stores across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and the Hunter Valley. The

bloke who opened our first store is still managing the business.

Experts

Our staff are all pet parents and animal lovers themselves.

Many of our staff are undertaking tertiary qualifications in a pet or animal field, and others are very experienced in specialist areas like reptile or aquarium. We pride ourselves on being able to offer advice from experienced pet parents.

Rescue

We partner closely with local pet charities like Hunter Animal Rescue, and we are big advocates of pet rescue and adoption. In some stores we foster cats and kittens who are available for adoption through a variety of local cat rescue organisations.

We pride ourselves on stocking a wide variety of brands and products so that when you shop with us you can be confident you will find what you're looking for! And if in the unlikely event you can't find it, we'll happily special order for you!

AQuarium

We offer a wide range of fresh water and marine aquariums, livestock and accessories.

Many of our staff are experienced aquarium hobbyists themselves.

Foster Cats

We a proud to assist a variety of local rescue groups to find forever homes for cats and kittens.

The cost of adopting a PETQuarters foster cat or kitten is set by each rescue organisation, and we don't charge anything over and above their fee.

The cats are loved and cuddled very often throughout the day, have a warm, safe place to sleep, and are always happy to meet new people, in the hopes that one of them might be their new pet parent.

Suds DIY Hydrobath

$10 for a 10 minute warm shower, shampoo, conditioner, flea and tick treatment and a blow dry.
We also provide a complimentary towel for your use in-store.

It's a great alternative to dog hair getting your bathroom drains all clogged up, or your beloved fur baby rolling in the grass the instant you turn off the hose!

There is a Suds DIY Hydrobath station at every PETQuarters store.
